As the Industry Placements Coordinator, you will lead the development and delivery of impactful industry placement programs that equip HDR candidates with practical skills, expand their professional networks, and enhance engagement with the broader community.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will drive initiatives that increase awareness, participation, and the overall value of industry placements, while contributing to the strategic direction of UQ's Graduate Research School.

Key responsibilities will include : Develop, implement, and manage industry placement programs for HDR candidates, ensuring practical experiences enhance transferrable skills and engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external organisations to facilitate placements, agreements, and ongoing collaboration.
Promote placement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders, designing initiatives that increase awareness, participation, and value.
Lead and support the HDR Experience team, providing guidance, training, and coordination to ensure the smooth delivery of placement programs and activities.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in building and maintaining professional relationships with external organisations, including negotiation and partnership development.
Skilled in coordinating complex projects, managing multiple priorities, and implementing processes efficiently and accurately.
Familiarity with internet-based technologies and proficiency in standard office software, including word processing, data management, and desktop publishing.
Comfortable initiating contact with potential partners and cultivating opportunities to expand programs and increase engagement.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
