The role involves preparing mechanical engineering designs, assessing performance of mechanical assets, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and supervising the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates.
* Assessing performance of mechanical assets against safety, cost, environmental impact and reliability in line with company standards.
* Collaborating closely with electrical, process, civil and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
* Preparing high-level technical reports and reviewing medium-sized project reports.
* Contributing to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organization.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Discipline.
* Experience in monitoring and managing multiple projects.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proven background in material handling systems, mine dewatering, ventilation, or fixed plant within large-scale projects is highly desirable.
