Meeqqat is an integrated institution located in a scenic environment by the sea and situated in the city center. It is mapped for 25 children: one nursery with 10 children, one preschool with 15 children. Meeqqat is a historic institution.
The staff is organized into 9 positions: 1 manager, 1 deputy manager, 1 educator, 2 child/social assistants, 2 helpers, 1 kitchen lady, 1 director.
You know how demanding it is when children are in constant development and when you listen to the child's signals. You know that children can do much more than they are allowed and you want to help strengthen their self-esteem and confidence. In addition, you will support the child's curiosity towards the world. You also have an overview.
We will try to create a daily life where there is a balance between familiarity based on daily rhythm/time awareness and unpredictability based on the children's influence on the development of the institution's culture. It is important that we together build a healthy and developing institution for all users of Meeqqat; therefore, the work environment is given high priority.

Background Requirements – Criminal and Child Records
This position is subject to the law on mandatory criminal and child record checks. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we note that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child record from the national police and the criminal record from the police.
The child record is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual at the Police Station.
Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Greenland's Home Rule Government, or another relevant negotiated organization. Employment will commence with a 3-month probationary period.
