Level 3 Systems
Engineers
in our
Brisbane
and Darwin offices
. This role will respond to Level 3 incidents and collaborate on projects.
Duties and Experience required:
* Minimum 4-5 years experience in server, desktop and network hardware.
* Providing technical leadership/support to staff in the delivery of projects, Providing (or contributing to the provision of) technical architecture of large-scale systems.
* Providing consulting services clients in the context of the supported architectures and third party solutions.
* Ensuring designs meet both function and non-functional requirements.
* Proposing and/or conducting research into new tools and technologies.
* Physically attending client sites and installing hardware.
* Monitoring and interpreting daily logs and creating incident tasks where action is required.
* Contributing to the developing and customising software solutions used in the network and system monitoring process.
* Responding and working to resolve assigned incidents and problems to meet SLA requirements.
* Ensuring equipment configuration, error logs and code levels are within set specifications.
* Escalating tasks, incidents and problems in accordance with procedures.
* Providing assistance to peers to address the more complex problems.
* Liaising with software and hardware vendors in the troubleshooting and resolution of issues affecting the IT infrastructure being supported as required.
* Developing and maintaining system documentation for the supported architectures.
* Adhering to operational procedures, and developing or contributing to the development of new or amended procedures.
* Developing or contributing to the development of effective Service Delivery procedures and processes.
* Maintaining and appropriately accounting for working hours against tasks.
* Communicating with clients.
Qualifications
Desirable qualifications such as:
* Certificate 3 and/or 4 in Information Technology
* A Degree or Diploma in IT
* ITIL Foundation Certification or similar industry qualification
* A Current Microsoft Certification
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* Fortinet NSE4 or higher
