About the role
We’re growing our Mechanical Engineering team and looking for a highly capable Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee and contribute across design, prototyping, and transition-to-production of advanced mechanical systems.
You will lead a small but highly skilled team, contribute systems engineering expertise, and collaborate across disciplines to bring pioneering technologies to life.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop our Mechanical Engineering capability.
- Oversee design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems.
- Contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle (R&D; through to production).
- Mentor and support a diverse team of engineers and technicians.
- Drive process and design improvements in a collaborative environment.
About you
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years’ experience.
- Proven leadership experience in engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience across R&D;, design, validation, and production environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Previous experience in Defence, Space, or start-up environments is highly regarded.
- Eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance (must be an Australian Citizen).
