**Position Information**:
Blacktown Boys High School is a partially selective all-boys high school with an enrolment of 903 students including 22.8% students from a non-English speaking background and 1.8% Aboriginal students. The student body includes an academically selective cohort in each year group, gifted and talented classes, mainstream classes and an Inclusive Education Unit. The school caters for the educational and wellbeing needs of boys, attracting students from a wide drawing area, who are seeking a single-sex education.
It has a strong focus on achieving academic and creative excellence, and developing resilient, self-confident young men who can collaborate and communicate effectively, as they develop skills to be lifelong learners. It has a focus on HSC attainment, Literacy and Numeracy, student wellbeing and collaborative teaching. **Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach English (Years 7-10 and Years 11-12) and English Extensions 1 & 2
Capacity to develop and deliver high quality teaching and learning programs that cater for the needs of a diverse range of learners
Ability to support student engagement and wellbeing through effective classroom management skills
Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to work collaboratively and build relationships with students, staff and parents
