Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planner to join a dynamic team at kikki.K. You will play a critical role in supporting the financial performance of the brand by developing and managing assortment plans, optimising inventory, and driving sales and profit across all channels.
Responsibilities
- Maximise the sales and profit potential of assigned departments through detailed seasonal plans for sales, stock, open-to-buy (OTB), markdowns, stock turns, and gross profit (GP).
- Monitor and analyse current performance, recommending re-plans to optimise future sales and profit performance.
- Prepare and present post-seasonal analysis, identifying successes and opportunities for future planning.
- Manage store gridding for allocations, factoring in sales performance, store capacity, and demographics.
- Oversee stock allocations and replenishments to ensure timely and effective distribution.
- Manage markdown processes, including loading promotions, preparing markdown style summaries, and aligning with the Merchandise Planner and Planning Manager on spend.
- Continuously enhance reporting, option/range planning, and allocation/replenishment processes for improved decision-making and financial outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience as an Allocator or Planning Assistant in a related field.
- Experience in homewares, hardgoods, home textiles, or gift products is highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Business, Commerce, or Retail Management (preferred).
- Solid planning and organisational skills with a high level of commercial acumen.
- Results-focused with a proven ability to identify and maximise business opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with merchandise planning systems is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of category and product-specific buying behaviours.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
