Ralph Lauren Store Manager Position
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Manager to lead our Ralph Lauren store at David Jones Menswear Bourke Street. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and profit performance, achieving store shrinkage goals, and implementing loss prevention procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directly responsible for sales and profit performance in the assigned store, ensuring sales and margin goals are met.
* Achieve store shrinkage goals and implement loss prevention procedures.
* Establish and monitor all store standards, working with the Operations Manager and Department Supervisors.
* Recruit, select, supervise, and develop store staff to maximize sales and profit performance; coach and mentor staff; include succession planning.
* Provide feedback to buyers and planners on high-sales and profit-potential items.
* Provide input to Buying Divisions and Visual Presentation team on merchandise presentation and store environment consistent with Ralph Lauren's image.
* Direct execution of promotional strategies and programs to support sales, marketing and profit objectives.
* Maintain a leadership role in community and charity events.
Requirements:
* Retail Management or similar experience in a complex, high-volume, or high-profile specialty environment preferred.
* Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
* Strong business acumen and skill-set enabling management and development of staff.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
