This industry-leading organisation with a rich history in Australia, spanning over 40 years, is seeking a highly capable and experienced HR professional who is ready to take ownership of the full employee lifecycle in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

As a dedicated HR Business Partner supporting operations in Adelaide, you will report directly to the State Manager and will be instrumental in driving HR best practices and fostering a positive, productive culture across a workforce of approximately 170 employees.


Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and coach to 8 operational managers, providing guidance on performance management, team development, and complex employee matters.
* Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to performance reviews, talent development, and off‑boarding.
* Employee and Industrial Relations (ER/IR):
o Proactively manage and resolve ER/IR cases and disputes in compliance with relevant legislation and company policy.
o Liaise effectively with unions and employee representatives.
o Lead and actively participate in Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations and meetings.
* Workforce Development: Champion capability building through training, coaching, and succession planning initiatives.
* Compliance & Policy: Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant, and consistently applied across the business.


What You'll Bring

* Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor, ideally within the logistics, transport, or a related industrial sector.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Employee and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) issues within heavy industrial organisations.
* Strong experience in coaching and influencing managers to achieve desired outcomes.
* Solid understanding of Australian employment law and the Fair Work Act.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills, particularly in a unionised environment.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
