About the Role
The Procurement Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that all purchases adhere to established policies and procedures. This involves overseeing the purchasing process, developing new policies and procedures to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the organization's purchasing policies and procedures
* Monitor compliance with internal controls and external regulations
* Review requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
* Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
* Select vendors based on price, quality, and delivery speed
* Prepare and issue contracts
* Manage inventory levels and stock to ensure the availability of materials
* Resolve issues with vendors and suppliers in a timely and professional manner
* Train and supervise procurement staff
* Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* Prepare reports for senior management
* Participate in budget planning and forecasting
Requirements
