Program Overview:
* Designed for new graduates or those with little to no NDIS experience.
* Multimodal learning throughout, with key modules developed by industry leading professionals.
* Focus on the core components; assessment and report writing skills. clinical and NDIS knowledge as well as communication, managing difficult behaviours and time management.
* Our mentoring program is extensive and flexible. We know that no two people learn the same, and so we tailor our approach to you
* You will be a part of a smaller intake, which means we can spend individualised and personalised time increasing your knowledge and expertise, empowering you to grow into a confident and thriving therapist.
This Position Involves:
* Managing a caseload of participants and designing therapy programs to work towards achieving participant outcomes specific to the their circumstances.
* Assessing participants functional capacity including physical and psychological abilities through clinical assessments.
* Providing best practice evidence-based support services that increase participants life skills and independence.
* Conducting assessments and providing recommendations to successfully adapt environments for participants including assistive technology.
About you:
* Occupational Therapist (with eligibility for full AHPRA registration);
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check & Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain);
* Current driver licence and vehicle (vehicle use reimbursement is provided);
* Exceptional time management and verbal & written communication skills;
* Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem solving;
* Honesty, integrity, a good team attitude and positive approach; and
* Genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
