Leading Judicial Expertise
The Nauru Supreme Court seeks a distinguished Senior Jurist to preside over cases on a circuit basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a judicial officer, with a strong understanding of the law and its underlying principles.
* Heating and determining constitutional, criminal, civil, and land matters in accordance with Nauruan law and procedure;
* Delivering fair, balanced, and consistent decisions according to law and within time-based benchmarks;
* Writing high-quality judgments comparable with the importance of the decisions of a superior court of record;
* Working collaboratively with other judicial officers and providing collegiate support;
The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package, rent-free accommodation, travel to and from Nauru, transport, and internet while in Nauru. A Bachelor of Laws from a common law jurisdiction is required, along with at least 10 years' post-admission legal practice experience as a senior counsel or judicial officer.
