**The Opportunity**
Vincents is currently seeking a Director to lead our Internal Audit team, joining the Assurance & Risk Advisory business unit. As a director, you will manage a high-quality client base, mentor a talented team of auditors and provide professional services. In this role you will have the opportunity to conduct new business development and grow the firm.

**The day-to-day duties**:
- Oversee and perform audit engagements in line with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practice Framework, IIA and Information System Audit & Control Association standards, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (Australian) and in line with the ethical standards as prescribed by CAANZ/CPA Australia.
- Supervise, manage, and deliver multiple internal audit engagements, providing exceptional client care, and continually servicing client/business partner portfolio.
- Continue to develop superior technical knowledge in order to keep up date with industry trends and changes in legislative and standards requirements.
- Work with the Vincents leadership team to develop annual strategic plans and budgets.
- Providing recommendations that add value to clients/business partners ensuring a thorough understanding the organisation, its purpose, and objectives.
- Perform tailored audit procedures that include effective stakeholder interviews, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Actively participate in the coaching of a team of graduate, intermediate and senior audit staff, including role modelling professional standards and behaviour.
- Participate in the one-on-one and performance review processes of team members, assisting in the setting and monitoring of performance and development related goals through feedback and coaching.
- Assessing performance and providing assurance against key metrics, compliance requirements and established criteria ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, economy, and compliance.
**What we'd like you to have**:
- Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or Finance or Business-related degree.
- 10+ years' experience with reputable Australian Public Practice firms.
- Proven management experience.
- Experience managing a large client portfolio.
- Previous experience conducting new business development.
- CA/CPA Qualifications including Public Practice Certificate or the ability to obtain.
- Expert knowledge of current internal audit concepts and standards.
- Baseline security clearance or eligibility to obtain (required).
