Plumber Job Description
We are seeking a skilled plumber to join our team. As a plumber, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including:
* General and commercial maintenance: Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems in domestic and commercial settings.
* Domestic and commercial construction and renovations: Installing and repairing plumbing fixtures and appliances in new and existing buildings.
* Pumping, filtration and rural water supply: Installing and maintaining pumps, filters and other equipment related to rural water supply systems.
* Fire hydrant and hose reel work: Installing and maintaining fire hydrants and hose reels.
* Roofing and gutter systems: Installing and repairing roofing and gutter systems.
* Hot water systems: Installing and maintaining hot water systems.
* General digging and excavations: Performing general digging and excavation work as required.
* Machine operation including hydro-excavation: Operating machines such as hydro-excavators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Full unrestricted Australian working rights: You must have the right to work in Australia.
* White Card: You must hold a valid White Card.
* Certificate III Trade Qualification: You must hold a Certificate III trade qualification in plumbing.
* At least 2+ years' experience in a similar role: You must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong work ethic, initiative and ability to work unsupervised: You must have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and take initiative when needed.
* Excellent communication skills: You must have excellent communication skills.
* Positive, friendly attitude: You must have a positive and friendly attitude.
* Practical problem-solving ability: You must have practical problem-solving skills.
* Gas experience (advantage): While not essential, gas experience is an advantage.
