Estimator – New homes builder

About the Role
Our client is a well-regarded residential builder known for delivering high-quality homes and a strong client experience across the Sunshine Coast. They are seeking a detail-driven Estimator to join their team in a pivotal role supporting the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion. This position suits someone who takes pride in accuracy, ownership, and contributing to a high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and issuing purchase orders using estimating software (Databuild / Planswift)
* Reconciling invoice discrepancies against purchase order budgets
* Preparing detailed construction documentation, including job specifications
* Identifying and escalating any documentation inconsistencies
* Assisting with pricing of colour selections and client variations
* Managing job budgets, monitoring cost variations, and supporting profit forecasting
* Collaborating with internal teams across Sales, Drafting, Colour Selection, and Client Liaison
* Maintaining accurate systems and workflow updates to reflect project progress
* Supporting broader estimating and pre-construction functions as required
What You Bring
* Minimum 1 year experience in residential estimating (volume or custom)
* Strong proficiency with estimating software (Databuild highly regarded)
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
* Ability to interpret construction documentation including plans, specifications, and contracts
* Understanding of job costing, budgeting, and cost control (highly regarded)
* Trade or carpentry background (advantageous but not required)
