Seeking an experienced
Lead SAP Basis Consultant
to support a major transformation initiative.
This is a senior, hands‑on position suited to someone who thrives in complex SAP environments and enjoys working across both operations and project delivery.

About the Role
As the SAP Basis Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance and security of SAP systems across multiple environments. Working within a cross‑functional technical team, you will support upgrades, patches, migrations, performance tuning, system administration, user access management and security controls.
You will also be involved in planning, continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and providing expert advice to stakeholders and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage SAP Basis administration across development, QA, pre‑production and production environments.
* Perform system installations, upgrades, enhancement packs, kernel updates and patching.
* Execute system copies, refreshes and environment preparation for project and testing cycles.
* Conduct performance monitoring, workload analysis, memory and job management.
* Maintain database health
* Support integration technologies including
* Troubleshoot Basis and security-related issues, ensuring environments remain stable and high‑performing.
* Design and maintain SAP roles, profiles and authorisation concepts.
* Undertake user provisioning, SOD analysis, security audits and compliance activities.
* Participate in change management, cutover, and release management processes.
* Maintain technical documentation and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Build strong working relationships with project teams, stakeholders and leadership.
* Provide knowledge transfer to internal staff and support capability uplift.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 8+ years SAP experience, including extensive Basis and Security capability.
* Strong experience with SAP upgrades, support packs, kernel patches and transport management
* SAP authorisations expertise including role design, SOD principles and SAP security frameworks.
* Proven experience across multi‑system SAP landscapes and ECC 6.0 environments.
* Strong troubleshooting skills across SAP, database and OS layers.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
