O'Brien Plumbing Mackay is a well-established and growing plumbing contractor delivering commercial, industrial and large-scale construction projects across Mackay, regional Queensland.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plumbing Supervisor for our commercial projects to join our team and take ownership of site delivery, team leadership, and client coordination.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising multiple projects and crews, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
You will be the key link between site teams, project managers, builders, and other contractors.
The role includes supervision of on ground jobs from start to finish. Must have good organisational and time management skills to ensure jobs run to schedule and must have an eye for detail to maintain our high level of finish.
We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude that can work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise plumbing teams across commercial sites
* Coordinate daily site activities, labour, and materials
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, drawings, and specifications
* Manage quality control, inspections, and defect rectification
* Lead and mentor apprentices and tradesmen
* Enforce WHS requirements, SWMS, JSA's and site procedures
* Liaise with builders, engineers, and internal management
* Assist with programming, sequencing, and problem solving on site
* Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan
* Monitor the progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
* Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
About You
* Trade-qualified plumber (QBCC plumbing licence essential)
* Proven experience supervising commercial plumbing projects plumbing
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic services, drainage, water and gas
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
* White Card and current driver's licence
