We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing competent carer support services, ensuring consumer, carer, and family perspectives are included in all aspects of care, health service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
* You will work closely with staff within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) to provide a child and family-centred service.
* Your key responsibility will be to communicate the broad views of consumers, carers, and families across the CYMHS Service and other relevant services.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement effective strategies to engage consumers, carers, and families in the care planning process.
* To provide training and education to staff on carer engagement and participation.
* To identify opportunities for service improvement and collaborate with the team to implement changes.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in a related field.
* Significant experience in carer support or a related field.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
