As the company name suggests our core business is structural demolition of residential, commercial and industrial buildings and infrastructure.
About the role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from individuals interested in joining our team on a casual basis. Applicants must be located on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania. Please note that this is a casual role with no fixed guaranteed hours; work will be offered as required and there is no weekend work. This position would ideally suit someone who is flexible, keen to work, and happy to jump in when jobs arise.
Applicants must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
As a Demolition labourer/asbestos removalist you will be required to perform manual physical labour onsite performing a wide range of duties such as carrying, loading materials, working around heavy machinery, site clean-up, using hand and power tools etc.
Applicants must be fit for physical work, punctual & have a strong work ethic.
Experience in the construction Industry and asbestos removal experience is an advantage however training will be provided to the right applicants.
The successful Applicant will be required to have
* OH & S construction industry white card.
* Drivers licence & must have own transport.
* Asbestos removal ticket non friable class B is essential - training will be Provided for the right applicants if required.
* Must be physically Fit, honest, punctual and reliable.
* Be willing to travel/ overnight stays and work some overtime when required.
* Work within a team environment.
* Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail, with a strong approach to occupational work health & safety procedures.
* A pre-employment medical and Police check is mandatory for all successful applicants.
Skills and experience
Successful applicants will be required to have:
* Current Drivers Licence with own transport
* Construction industry white card
* Be Hard working and reliable.
Desirable but not essential to role
* Excavator licence
* High risk work licences such as LF,DG,RB-RA,SB-SA,WP or EWP
* Working at heights
* Concrete cutting experience
* Oxy cutting experience
* Trade Qualifications
* Asbestos removal ticket B class non friable
* Medium Rigid Vehicle (MR) Licence or above.
