About this Role
The ICT Procurement and Contract Manager leads the planning, execution, and governance of ICT procurement and contract management activities. This role ensures procurement processes align with project objectives, deliver value for money, and comply with relevant frameworks and legislative requirements.
This position involves extensive collaboration with project managers, technical teams, and vendors, as well as providing strategic advice and leadership to ensure ICT procurement supports organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute ICT procurement strategies for projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
* Oversee the end-to-end ICT procurement lifecycle, including tender development, evaluation, contract negotiation, and execution.
* Develop and negotiate complex ICT contracts, such as SaaS, cloud computing, and managed services agreements, ensuring terms align with project needs.
* Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure ICT procurement and contract deliverables support project delivery.
* Provide expert advice on ICT procurement, market trends, and vendor capabilities to inform decision-making and strategy.
* Monitor and manage risks related to ICT procurement and contract management, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and organisational frameworks.
* Build and maintain productive relationships with ICT vendors, facilitating effective contract performance management and long-term partnerships.
* Develop and refine ICT procurement policies, processes, and tools to enhance capability and efficiency.
* Drive team capability uplift in ICT procurement and contract management through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
* Report on ICT procurement performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements and Qualifications

You should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
