**Description**:
The Assistant Director is an experienced Senior Educator who provides strong leadership support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre. The Assistant Director works to support the team in the development and delivery of high-quality education and care, and actively mentors and develops the broader team.

Our wonderful Joondanna Centre is now looking for an experienced Assistant Director to join our well-established team. About the role
- Work closely with our experienced Centre Director on day-to-day operations, and step up to cover the role in their absence
- Create positive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families
- Leverage your experience as you float between rooms to develop and deliver high standards of educational programs
- Seek perspectives, actively listen, and take on board feedback that further develops ideas or resolves concerns
- Demonstrate that you are warm, compassionate, and gentle with your communication and have strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills
- Focus on quality improvement and supporting teams to understand and follow Green Leaves policy and procedure
- Display high levels of initiative and motivation whilst being proactive and flexible with a mature approach
- Be available to work part-time or full-time hours each week, on rotating shifts between 6.30 am and 6:30 pm
**Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills**:
- Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
- State-relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening
- Current Child Protection Training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively.
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Director or a Lead Educator ready to step up into a Centre leadership role
- Knowledge and experience with Qikkids and Educa (or similar equivalent platforms)
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Facebook.
