Clinical Lead - Mental Health Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with expertise in eating disorders.
Job Description:
The Clinical Lead will provide high-level support to the team manager, overseeing the strategic development and management of a comprehensive community mental health service. This will include effective resource management, leadership, direction, and change management.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a multidisciplinary community mental health team.
2. Effectively manage specified human and physical resources.
3. Lead, direct, and facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of relevant models of care, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
4. Ensure optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
5. Enhance consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
6. A Registered Nurse qualification and specialist tertiary graduate or post-graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
7. Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Criteria:
The following criteria would be highly beneficial for the position:*
* A minimum of 3 years' current post-graduate experience in mental health or a relevant field.
* Experience and/or interest in working with people experiencing eating disorders or other mental health conditions.
* Experience in clinical and professional supervision.
* Eating Disorder Credentialled practitioner.
* Current Driver's License.
