**JOB SUMMARY**

The Market Sales Manager will be required to support the** **Market Director of Sales **i**n the coordination of all aspects of day-to-day activities including reporting and administration.

Plus, conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with Company's policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

**JOB SPECIFIC TASKS**
- Coordinate appointments, site inspections and entertainment for Sydney Harbour Marriott, Sheraton Grad Sydney Hyde Park, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park, Courtyard by Marriott Sydney North Ryde, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel, Melbourne Marriott Hotel, Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands, Four Points by Sheraton, Melbourne Docklands, Element Melbourne Richmond, Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne Flagstaff Gardens, AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne South Bank, JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa. Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast, The Westin Perth, Brisbane Marriott Hotel, The Westin Brisbane, Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane.
- Coordinate the daily tasks for the catering department, including signage, daily events, deposits and spp posting
- Prepare proposal and contacts as required
- Coordinate VIP reservations, amenities and letters as required
- Respond to telephone inquiries and follow-up.
- Ability to be able to assist and coordinate entertainment, sites, families, manage large entertainment projects and assist in coordination of trade shows
- Preparation of correspondence in coherence to Sheraton brand standards
- Active involvement in developing and upholding Delphi standards
- Assist in the maintenance of Delphi database, ensuring account, contact and booking profiles are updated daily and are accurate per Company's standards.
- Maintain an accurate expense calendar/schedule including all travel, requisition, brochuring, trade show, entertainment expenses.
- Organize couriers and ensure mail is sent and distributed daily.
- Maintain an appropriate level of stationery.
- Ensure the maintenance and working order of office equipment and resources
- Set-up and maintain a list of domestic and international family and comp rooms
- Prepare and maintain a complete trade show and travel schedule including costs
- Prepare accurate internal administration and accounting paperwork including purchase order and petty cash requests
- Assist as requested by the Director of Sales and provide support where needed to the Business Development Managers
- File all correspondence electronically and in hard copy format in a logical and sequential order.
- Prepare arrivals and VIP reports daily
- Preparing morning briefing folder, including daily sites, famils, entertainment and VIP arrivals.
- Prepare other reports as requested
- Maintain the strictest confidence on all matters relating to Marriott and the hotel.
- Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation and Marriott's policies
- Undertake other duties as requested by Department Head and Hotel Management and ensure Occupational Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to with the association of duty of care.
- Meet the grooming standards of the hotel as set out in the Associate Handbook.
- Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or though effective communication and other associates.
- Demonstrate clear behaviours that align to the Property Service Culture Standards, Marriott and the Brand Core values.
- Comply with and abide by all hotel policies and procedure and information outlined in Associate Handbook.
- Comply with Marriott's Worldwide Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Policy against Insider training at all times.
- To work as and where directed by Management plus follow all reasonable requests.

**Education or Certification**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
- English language written and spoken.
