Sydney-based Marketing Manager for Premium Spirits

Our client is a renowned global brand owner in the Wine & Spirits industry, with acclaimed international brands.

This role is a key appointment to the APAC team and is a testament to the development of the business in the region. They are currently wishing to appoint an experienced marketing professional with a passion for premium brands.

In this newly created role we're looking for a dynamic Marketing & Activation Manager to collaboratively develop and support the execution of the marketing strategy for a portfolio of premium brands competing in key categories of Gin, Whiskey, Rum and Liqueurs.

This role is perfect for a well-rounded marketing professional who enjoys transversing from global brand strategy to local application and adaptation to local implementation.

* Enabler, project manager, and influencer—you'll work across global brand marketing, global trade marketing, regional sales, and local distributors to bring their brands to life in key APAC markets.
* International travel is an essential part of this role, including time in Saronno, Italy, to collaborate with global teams, and regular visits to key APAC markets to partner distributor teams on major marketing programs.


Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Planning

* Lead planning sessions with sales managers and local distributor teams to identify key consumer-brand connections.
* Develop annual marketing plans with clear insights, objectives, KPIs, and budgets.
* Represent the APAC region's needs within the global marketing planning cycle.

Marketing Execution & Adaptation

* Implement global trade marketing strategies across APAC markets.
* Adapt global strategies for regional relevance in collaboration with local teams.
* Oversee agency discussions, local adaptations, and asset development for key programs.
* Where necessary, lead development of regional marketing assets.

Performance & Insights

* Define performance metrics for marketing activities in partnership with sales teams.
* Develop and oversee brand health tracking in key APAC markets.

Stakeholder Collaboration

* Act as the key liaison between local distributor marketing teams and global marketing.
* Ensure consistent brand execution and communication across all APAC markets.

Budget & ROI Management

* Influence regional marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with strategy, with a focus on objective setting and measurements.
