The Role Reporting to the Business Manager, SRG are seeking a capable Mechanical / Materials Testing Machinist to join the team located in regional Portland, Victoria on a Casual basis. If successful, you will be responsible for machining and preparing test specimens for mechanical and metallurgical testing in accordance with industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities Machine and prepare test specimens from metals and allows for mechanical and materials testing Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and machining specifications Maintain machining equipment and ensure tools are calibrated and in good working condition The successful applicant will ideally have Experience oprating manual machining equipment Experience machining test specimens for mechanical or materials testing Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise dimensions Knowledge of machining different materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium Australian working rights Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen About Us SRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
