About the role
Our Learning for Life program provides emotional, practical and financial support to help children and young people experiencing disadvantage with their education. Our support starts in the early years of learning development and continues through primary and high school.
Leading a Learning for Life team, the Team Leader will provide leadership to their geographically dispersed team in Darwin/Palmerston, through proactive oversight of their implementation activities aligned to state-developed plans that complement national plans. This position will role model the organisational values, our required practice framework approaches and will embed a coaching framework to develop team capability to support and drive growth. This role will champion and embed organisational change, supporting and inspiring your team to adapt and innovate in a fast-evolving environment.
As a Team Leader, you will:
* Develop and lead a team that provides effective program delivery and engagement with families and students to support stronger student outcomes
* Working with your team, develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner schools and relevant community agencies
* Provide clarity of expectations and inspire a sense of purpose and direction within the team
* Contribute as a valued local leader in Learning for Life, and maintain strong internal relationships within the organisation
* Focus on personal and professional growth, including on-the-job skill development and regular coaching with your leader

About you
Team Leaders come from varied backgrounds with different skills and experience. As well as a passion for developing others and enabling your team to improve student outcomes, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience leading a team with a coaching approach
* Experience establishing and maintaining partnerships with diverse communities and stakeholders
* Experience implementing and leading through change
* An understanding of the education sector (desirable)
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Capability to work autonomously; organising your own day, problem solving and adapting when things don't go to plan
* Computer literacy and motivation; completing administrative or data entry tasks and achieving goals
* A current driver's licence
