Good Food Distributors is seeking a reliable MEAT CUTTER to join our wholesale meat production team in Salamander Bay.
This role is ideal for someone with food industry experience such as a chef, cook, kitchen hand, deli worker or butcher who is comfortable working with knives.
We supply premium meat and specialty products to restaurants, clubs and hospitality venues across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Mid North Coast.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting butchers with meat preparation and trimming
* Portion cutting and product preparation
* Packing, labelling and organising orders
* Maintaining HACCP and food safety standards
* Supporting daily production workflow
* Cleaning and maintaining work areas
Skills & Experience
* Chefs or cooks
* Kitchen hands with knife experience
* Butchers or apprentice butchers
* Deli or food production workers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Confidence using knives in a food preparation environment
* Experience working in kitchens, food production or butchery
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
* Good attention to detail
The Role
* Full-time position
* Early morning starts
* 5 to 5.5 days per week
* Pay negotiable based on experience
