**About the role**
- Teach and prepare training class curriculum for both internal and external clients.
- Conduct private training sessions at venues, in homes, or online.
- Advocate for low-stress animal handling practices to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress.
- Provide theoretical and practical learning opportunities and advice to staff, volunteers, and the public.
- Assisting in support and advice to the public post-adoption or pre-surrender, as well as to the RSPCA Qld foster carer network.
- Assist in the production of animal behaviour and training resources for various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the onboarding, coordination, and training of School for Pets volunteers.
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Implement behaviour management and modification plans for shelter animals as required.
- Promote RSPCA School for Pet programs within the community through client relationships and planned events.
- Conduct educational workshops for community members, businesses, and councils, advocating responsible pet ownership and low-stress handling.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Extensive experience in force-free, reward-based training, coupled with a profound passion for animal behaviour.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing exceptional customer service.
- A formal qualification in Animal Training/Behaviour, highly regarded.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking abilities.
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, supporting colleagues, while also demonstrating independence in problem-solving
This is a casual position, **including regular weekend shifts**. **Positions are based at Aspley, Underwood and Wacol.** Remuneration is as per the RSPCA Qld Enterprise Agreement for Shelter Staff based on applicants experience and qualifications.
