About The Client
Our client is a well-established, locally owned electrical contracting business based on the Sunshine Coast, specialising in electrical, solar, and air conditioning solutions for residential, commercial and industrial customers across South East Queensland. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality installations, reliable service, and professional workmanship across a wide range of projects, including new home electrical, solar system installations and air conditioning services.
What You Will Be Doing
As the business manager, you will work closely with the business owner to oversee the daily operations of a growing electrical, solar, and air conditioning company. This role will see you managing workflows across multiple service divisions while ensuring projects run smoothly from quotation through to completion. You will liaise directly with the owner, operations manager, clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timelines, profitability and service standards are maintained. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking the lead, improving systems and driving operational efficiency while supporting both office and field teams.
Your Role Will Include
Overseeing daily operations and workflows across electrical, solar, and air conditioning projects including:
Monitoring jobs, invoicing and overseeing variationsSupporting project delivery, scheduling and resource allocations across teamsLeading and supporting staff performance, ensuring productivity and accountabilityLiaising with clients, builders and suppliers to maintain strong relationshipsImproving systems, processes and operationsEnsuring compliance, documentation and risk management requirements are metWorking closely with the business owner to support reporting and planning
What You Will Need
Experience in a trade-based business, ideally electrical, solar, or air conditioningSolid understanding of computer systems (Simpro experience highly regarded)Experience managing operations, profitability, invoicing, and job performanceConfident leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and priorities effectivelyStrong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skillsProactive, practical, and solutions-focused approachCurrent Drivers Licence
