About the role
As the Bakery Manager at Peries IGA Supermarket Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the full service bakery and proprietary offer. Working in a full-time capacity, you will be based in Kingaroy, Queensland and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and profitability of this key department.
What you'll be doing
* Managing and leading the bakery team, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management
* Ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality in the bakery
* Developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, optimise product offerings and improve operational efficiency
* Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and managing inventory to minimise waste and maintain optimal stock levels
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety and food hygiene regulations
* Reporting on key metrics and contributing to the overall performance of the store
What we're looking for
* Significant experience in a bakery management or senior bakery team role, ideally within a supermarket or grocery environment
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
