The Role
As General Manager – Operations, you will take full ownership of our operational, financial, and team performance, driving scalable systems and sustainable growth. You’ll work closely with the directors during the transition phase, then take the reins of day-to-day business leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and mentoring our field and office teams
* Driving operational excellence across scheduling, service delivery, and customer experience
* Overseeing job costing, workflow systems, and fleet utilisation
* Managing and improving our end-to-end tendering and estimating process
* Building and maintaining key client relationships to support ongoing and future project opportunities
* Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and KPI frameworks
* Identifying and implementing process improvements across all functions
* Supporting strategic expansion plans, including team structuring and hiring
* Managing supplier relationships and ensuring WHS compliance
You’ll Bring
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager, GM, or equivalent in a trade, construction, or service business
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust, lift performance, and scale teams
* Commercial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational P&L management
* A track record of driving growth, implementing systems, and leading change
* Confidence working closely with owners or transitioning leadership
* Experience in job management software (e.g., SimPRO, Servicem8) is a bonus
* Electrical industry knowledge is highly desirable, but not essential
