**Job Description:**
Housing Advocate
This position requires an individual who can advocate for residents and shelter users. Key responsibilities include identifying client problems, needs, and risks, and developing and implementing intervention plans. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a related human/social service field and at least one year of recent experience in a related field.
**Key Responsibilities:
* Identify client problems, needs, and risks, and develop intervention plans
* Implement short-term, issue-specific intervention plans within program guidelines
* Evaluate the effectiveness of intervention plans and report on client progress
* Communicate with clients, coworkers, and external partners effectively
**Skills and Qualifications:
* Diploma in a related human/social service field
* At least one year of recent experience in a related field
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
**Benefits:
* Competitive hourly rate: $34.06 - $35.99 per hour
* Vacation accrued at a rate of 6% or in accordance with length of service

**Working Conditions/Compensation:
* Shifts: Full time, three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights (7pm to 7am)
