Robbo's Chicken N Meat is a reputable provider of quality meat products in the domestic market in Hobart, Tasmania. Our main company is located centrally in Glenorchy, focusing mainly on wholesale supplies to local businesses. At Robbo's Chicken N Meat, we provide full range of cuts from Tasmanian lamb, pork, beef and to support Tasmanian local economy.

The primary responsibilities will be as following:
Operating control systems to guide and transfer carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables efficiently;
Accurately cut meat to separate it from fat, tissue, and bones while ensuring mínimal waste and optimal yield, including trimming and shaping meat to industry standards
Safely and efficiently deboning meats through large portions of meat, including bone-in cuts, separating fat and tissues around bones;
Cleaning, scraping, and trimming meat to remove foreign material, excess blood, and contaminants;
Butchering meat into standard commercial cuts, such as rumps, flanks, and shoulders, while removing internal fat, blood clots, bruises, and other imperfections for market readiness
Inspect meat products for quality and ensure consistency in thickness and presentation
Operating restraining and stunning equipment to ensure compliance with safety and welfare standards
Sever the jugular veins of stunned animals to ensure proper drainage of blood, facilitating the dressing process and ensuring adherence to hygienic standards;
Skillfully slit open, eviscerate, and trim animal carcasses to meet industry standards, preparing them for further processing or packaging;
Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency

To be successful for this role you need:
Proven experience as a meat processing worker or in a similar role
Ability to work with a variety of meat products, including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb
Knowledge of safe handling practices and food safety regulations
Physical strength and stamina to handle large cuts of meat and stand for long periods
Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate cuts
Strong work ethic and team player

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
