Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is a small rural health service in north central Victoria providing a broad range of services to its community. Acute and residential aged care services are complemented by primary care services and home nursing. REDHS delivers a diverse range of services to its local communities including acute services, residential aged care, primary care and home nursing.
Position
CLINICAL SUPPORT NURSE
Permanent Part-Time - negotiable hours and days
48 hours per fortnight
Responsibilities
- The Clinical Support Nurse plays a pivotal role in fostering continuous improvement, a culture of learning, and evidence-based practice across REDHS. Working in partnership with the Clinical Education and Staff Development Officer, they will identify staff training needs informed by Quality and Risk performance data, best practice guidelines, mandatory competencies, and organisational priorities. Together, they will design and deliver a comprehensive Staff Training Program that addresses identified gaps, introduces updated practice requirements, and builds a workforce culture committed to excellence.
- The role also includes facilitating creative education initiatives for both clinical and corporate staff, supporting volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator, and ensuring REDHS staff are skilled, confident, and prepared to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is situated in Rochester which is the gateway to the Murray River region and close to Echuca, Bendigo and Shepparton. We are an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires. We enjoy a strong relationship with our community and are focused on delivering services that meet their needs. Following the flood in October 2022, we commenced an extensive rebuild of our facility which was completed in January 2025.
