The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to work with our engineering team. The role will build on our existing engineering expertise, supporting development and growth within the business. Based in our Wollongong manufacturing centre and reporting to the National Engineering Manager, the objective of the role is to assist with specific aspects of our production and product support, upholding quality and customer service standards.
The role will encompass our Omegalec products and services that are manufactured locally as well as supporting a range of industry-leading and high-technology products in our portfolio. Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Specialist Power Transformer design, single and polyphase
* High power Frequency converter and High power voltage regulator design
* Large scale battery charger design
* Electronics background with PCB design
* Generating and understanding CAD formats
* Manage the operations and training of production, service, calibration, and test department teams
* Defining and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency
* New product design and existing product improvement
* Product design records and system implementation
* Working with the client's engineering team for specialised turnkey designs and projects
* Safety Compliance of all products
* Application of Australian standards to specific products
* Engineering support to the Sales team
Qualifications
Degree in electrical or electronic engineering, with demonstrated experience in equipment design an advantage.
