Our occupational therapy graduate program offers a smooth transition to your new role, with high-level supervision and ongoing support. You'll have a caseload that's easy to manage, as well as a dedicated buddy to help you settle in. Fortnightly technical training will boost your clinical skills and confidence.
As an occupational therapist, you'll be mentored by an experienced clinician who delivers therapy in various settings, including clinics, clients' homes, schools, and via telehealth. You'll also have 1-on-1 mentoring with a senior clinician to support your career ambitions.
Collaborate with our close-knit and supportive multidisciplinary teams, which inspire an environment of connection and collaboration. Work with allied health and client support professionals, sharing knowledge to contribute to holistic care approaches for our wonderful clients.

Key responsibilities as an occupational therapist include:
* Helping children achieve developmental milestones, such as fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, to improve play, school, or independent skills.
* Educating and involving parents, carers, and others to facilitate the development and learning of children.
* Supporting children with developmental delays to learn everyday tasks, such as bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, and feeding themselves.
* Helping children with behavioral issues maintain positive behaviors in all environments, using alternative methods like writing about feelings or participating in physical activity.
