Communications Specialist for Environmental Research
We are seeking a skilled professional to support the delivery of our communications strategy and contribute to the creation of science communication products.
The successful candidate will lead the development and coordination of science communication products, including writing plain-language summaries, media releases, and graphical content. They will also contribute to our website and social media channels, organise events, and engage with stakeholders across various sectors.
* Develop and coordinate science communication products, including fact sheets, posters, and newsletter stories.
* Contribute to the Hub's website and social media channels, engaging with a broad network of stakeholders.
* Organise events and activities to promote the research findings and engage with target audiences.
About You:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in science communication or demonstrated equivalent competency.
* Demonstrated ability to understand and translate scientific outcomes into targeted communication products.
* Proficiency in the production of communication materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
* Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, indigenous groups, natural resource managers, environment organisations, community groups, and the media.
