This role offers a high level of flexibility, with approximately 15.2 hours per week that can be worked across school hours or full days—whatever works best for you! There will be opportunities to increase your hours during leave coverage, and it’s highly desirable if you’re able to work flexibly during busy periods or when urgent tasks arise. This role is a casual arrangement however for the right candidate permanent part-time will be considered.
The role is offered as a hybrid position, with the option to work from both home and our Murarrie office. For the right candidate, we’re also open to a fully remote arrangement.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a unique, small company role encompassing commercial and financial responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
·Monthly and annual accounts for audit purposes
·General tax compliance including assisting with FBT, GST etc returns
·Journals, reconciliation, accruals and analysis
·Assistance with budget preparations, tracking and reporting
·Finance support functions (cost approvals and authorisations, client invoicing)
·Liaise with suppliers and clients on Terms and Conditions, including drafting, managing and negotiating contracts and agreements
·Supporting the Finance Manager and Executive team on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications, skills and experience you'll bring:
The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications and experience in the following:
·Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar field
·CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion of qualification
·Experience with management and negotiation of trading T&Cs and contracts with clients and suppliers
·Experience with taxation, FBT and legislation changes and requirements, policy and risk management for the business.
·Experience with developing and maintaining strong relationships with external providers including insurance brokers and lawyers.
·Very strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
You'll have outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships within the business in a hybrid/remote environment. Your curiosity and compassion, coupled with the ability to listen to others, will put you in good stead to build strong relationships. You enjoy working collaboratively across all teams, always ensuring the best interests of our business. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, the range is between $60 per hour - $70 per hour.
