A communications and technology company delivering solutions for remote and high-reliability environments is looking for a Statutory Electrical Supervisor.
This hands‐on leadership role involves supervising electrical and telecommunications works across site and project environments. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to standard, while mentoring electricians and supporting field operations.
This is a full‐time role supporting projects across various locations in Western Australia, with travel and site‐based work required.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate electrical and communications works across project sites
* Lead and support electricians, technicians, and apprentices in day‐to‐day operations
* Conduct site safety checks, including JHA, JSA, and SWMS compliance
* Oversee electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance of DC power, battery backup, and telecom systems
* Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, legislation, and company procedures
* Support project planning, scheduling, and execution alongside Project Managers
* Coordinate electrical isolations, energisation, and site activities safely
* Deliver toolbox talks, pre‐start meetings, and on‐site training
* Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Complete reports, compliance documentation, and maintenance logs
Requirements
* Trade-qualified Electrician with a current Australian Electrical Licence
* Statutory Electrical Supervisor certification or relevant training
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical supervisory or leadership role
* Strong experience with DC power systems, battery backup, or telecommunications infrastructure
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
* Strong understanding of WHS regulations, electrical compliance, and safety systems
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage site-based activities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Current driver's licence and full working rights in Australia
Nice to Have
* Experience in mining, resources, or critical infrastructure projects (e.g. BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG)
* Experience working on large‐scale field operations or remote site environments
* Certifications such as Working at Heights, EWP, Arc Flash, or LV switching
* Experience mentoring apprentices and junior electricians
* Exposure to solar, DC systems, or telecom power systems
