About the role:
The Port Operations team is currently seeking a Supervisor Port Production to join them on a 14/14 Days & Nights Roster. Reporting to the Superintendent Port Production, you will be responsible for ensuring safe operation of the Port equipment so that production targets (volumes and rates) are safely achieved. The Supervisor Port production will provide supervision and leadership to their team and display positive safety behaviour and costs commitment (consistent with Hancock Iron Ore Values).
Duties:
* Assist Port Operations teams to maintain compliance with all company, legislative and statutory regulations
* Identify the development needs of individuals and coach, mentor, and support them to improve their knowledge, skills or performance
* Coordinate and supervise the production work group to ensure all activities on the operational plan are carried out in accordance with the appropriate work instructions and department directives
* Manage work allocation and develop problem resolution and building an effective team dynamic
* Complete all aspects of operations preparation work planning and execution for minor and major plant shutdowns inclusive of isolations and execution supervision
Skills and Experience:
* Previous Leadership experience
* Experience in windows-based Operator Interface systems (SCADA) and SAP
* Current Drivers Licence
* Experience in a similar bulk port operations role – ship berthing, ship departures, shiploader, stacking, reclaimer, car dumper and material handling operations
