Pre Sales Engineer – EcoStruxure Automation Expert – Perth
As a Pre‐sales Engineer in our Centre of Excellence (COE) across the Pacific, you'll be at the forefront of driving adoption of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE). You'll bring deep technical expertise to support our sales teams, partners, and customers – delivering best practices, innovative architectures, and advanced troubleshooting that accelerate success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver technical pre‐sales support to accelerate sales growth and increase conversion rates using EAE
* Act as the technical subject matter expert to define and implement advanced automation architectures using EAE
* Collaborate with customers to identify technical requirements and constraints, and propose tailored automation solutions using EAE
* Clearly articulate and demonstrate the advantages of EAE over conventional automation systems
* Develop solution architectures and demos that showcase the innovation, efficiency, and value of EAE compared to conventional automation systems
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in automation solution development and programming
* Proven ability to design and implement system/solution architectures for industrial applications
* Deep expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, and industrial networking
* Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, etc.)
* Experience with IIoT, IT/OT convergence, and modern development environments (Windows/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, virtualization)
* Proficiency in object‐oriented programming and languages such as C/C++, Python, JavaScript
* Networking experience across LAN, WAN, VLAN, and TCP/IP‐based protocols
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
* A background in embedded software engineering or IT‐focused software delivery is highly regarded
