About You
* Minimum of 10 years experience in civil construction, depending on role
* BSc in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
* Road, rail or major infrastructure experience preferred
* Knowledge of the Melbourne construction market and subcontractors preferred
* Strong attention to detail and proven communication skills
* Strong experience in the understanding and administration of contract rights and obligations on complex infrastructure projects
Skills & Responsibilities
* Tendering, procurement and bid analysis
* Compilation, assessment and agreement of submitted tenders, providing updates on any commercial/contractual clarifications
* Contract administration
* Cost forecasting
* Quantification of construction works
* Preparation and assessment of progress claims
* Change management – variation claim preparation & assessments
* Preparation of commercially astute correspondence
* Ability to liaise with clients and other professional consultants
* Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
* Analysis of facts and evidence including records and notices
* Ability to give clients an honest appraisal of their contractual and commercial position
* Advise clients on claims strategy and recommendations on how their objectives can be achieved
* Preparation, negotiation and presentation of quantum, delay and disruption claims
