Huon is seeking a self-motivated Skipper to lead our vessel operations and crew at Hideaway Bay on a 7 on 7 off roster.
The role
As a Skipper, you will be responsible for the operation, upkeep and maintenance of vessels under 24 meters, alongside leading a crew and ensuring compliance with work procedures. Responsibilities include:
* Operating and maintaining vessels and shipboard equipment
* Mooring pens, towing, net installation/removal, and grid maintenance
* Managing refuelling operations, loading/unloading vessels, and operating cranes and forklifts
* Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and completing necessary documentation
Located near Dover, you will be working a 7 on 7 off roster.
About you
* A minimum Master >24m NC and Marine Engine Driver Grade 3 (MED 3) with relevant experience
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
* Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
* A proactive focus on improving processes and committing to self-development
