About the Role
As the Facility Manager, you will be a highly motivated individual, a self-starter focused on the growth strategy for Parkinson Aquatic Centre. Your role will develop initiatives that increase participation, strengthen community partnerships, and enhance exceptional customer experience.
You'll collaborate closely with our operational team on venue, but you will spend the majority of your time on activities that accelerate venue acquisition and performance, identifying opportunities, improving processes, analysing trends, and building strong local connections.
This is the ideal role for someone who is driven, loves creating impact, thrives on autonomy, and has a passion for building high‑performing community hubs.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Growth & Community Engagement
* Develop and activate local marketing and community engagement initiatives
* Build strong partnerships with schools, childcare centres, local sporting clubs, and community groups
* Identify new business opportunities or initiatives to increase student enrolments and revenue
* Drive local area awareness through events, outreach, and proactive networking
Operational Leadership
* Maintain oversight of day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth, safe venue performance
* Develop, mentor and guide the operational team, creating talent pipelines and density within the venue
* Collaborate with the on‑venue team to enhance program quality and customer satisfaction
* Ensure compliance, rostering accuracy, and operational consistency
Performance & Customer Experience
* Analyse data to identify trends, challenges, and growth opportunities
* Improve customer journeys from enquiry to long‑term enrolment
* Support staff development and capability uplift
* Drive initiatives that improve NPS, retention, and community impact
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with:
* Strong business or operational leadership experience in aquatics, allied health, fitness, education, hospitality, or community services
* A passion for community engagement, relationship‑building, and customer experience
* Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into action
* Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
* The ability to influence outcomes and think strategically while staying connected to the day‑to‑day
* Current (or willingness to obtain):
o First Aid & CPR
o Blue Card
o Swim Teacher & Lifeguard qualification
