About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Development team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of skilled professionals to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our development function.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your team. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment and identify and develop talent to help them grow professionally.
* Drive continuous improvement by using lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques. Work to optimise production processes to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
* Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations. Prioritise safety as the highest value, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and success. Use this data to make sound, data-driven decisions.
* Effectively allocate resources and manage budgets to support team objectives. Promptly identify and resolve any operational issues.
* Communicate effectively with your team, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
What You Can Bring to the Role
* Extensive knowledge of operations management, ideally in mine development – topsoil and overburden stripping, secondary overburden removal, stockpile and ramp construction, blast pattern preparation.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
* Demonstrated versatility, strong coordinating skills, and capable of rapidly acquiring familiarity with and responding to diverse and changing environments.
* A high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.
* Statutory Supervisor accreditation.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry.
