In this role, you'll be at the forefront of cost planning and tendering for residential projects, ensuring accuracy and value across every stage of delivery. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in driving project success and supporting the company's continued growth.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate budgets using up-to-date quotes and pricing, monitor costs, generate reports, and collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve buildability challenges and deliver cost-effective solutions with minimal overruns.
* Review drawings, calculate material quantities, and design layouts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability.
* Apply best-practice building knowledge to recommend smarter product options and ensure designs meet current codes and standards.
* Assess subcontractor quotes, prepare supplier requests, and issue purchase orders within timelines.
* Keep templates, catalogues, and systems updated with the latest cost savings, buildability solutions, and feedback to improve future projects.
* Use company systems to manage budgets, reports, and workflows, keeping projects on track and timelines up to date.
Requirements:
* Minimum of
5 years' experience
as an Estimator within the
residential construction
sector.
* Relevant qualifications in Construction, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying.
* Demonstrated success in preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates across diverse residential projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current industry standards.
* Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to identify and resolve cost variances.
* Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in Databuild, Bluebeam, Therefore, and the Microsoft Office suite.
