An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Regional Security Lead to join the Defence Engagement Team in Canberra.
**The opportunity**:

You will ensure that regional issues are resolved within a timely manner and all reporting requirements are prepared and issued to the customer for review. Any third parties requiring assess/escorting into the communications areas are appropriately provided.
**Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to**:
- Delivery of Communications room access Management and Escort requests.
- Manage Regional CIOG Controlled Communications Room Access requests which may include the following in addition to the key which are Alarms, DCAC swipe and unit escort in accordance with the TC and Defence Processes
- Manage Regional CIOG Controlled Communications Room Access Requests for Keys in accordance with the TC and Defence Processes
- Participate in bi-annual physical key audits to identify/resolve discrepancies and security risks.
- Cross reference and monthly key compliance checks, and update records accordingly
- Participate in Key protected compliance checks and condition assessments with Regional Facilities Leads.
- Update and maintain security registers, systems and records in accordance with TC and Defence processes.
- Weekly and monthly reporting requirements focussed on the regional TC facilities environment. (key management and Alarm management)
- Ongoing updating and maintenance of all security information repositories including field work status.
- Act as an escalation point for all aspects of the Terrestrial Communications CIOG controlled security and access environment, within the specific region of responsibility.
- Provide quality advice and direction to stakeholders and field work force, based on knowledge and experience within the Terrestrial Communications workplace
**Enough about us, let's talk about you. To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following**:
- Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance or the ability to gain and NV2.
- Experience within an ICT Infrastructure Operations environment or similar Facilities role
- Experience working with Copper and Fibre cabling, conduits and pits within an operational environment.
- Experience working with various stakeholders to achieve a goal for the customer
- Experience in detailed and technical reporting within an ICT Infrastructure Operations environment
- Are Canberra based as you will be required to be onsite for most of this role
