About the Role
The ideal candidate will lead and support a busy kitchen team in achieving high standards of food production and service within a prestigious establishment.
* Oversee kitchen operations to ensure consistency and deliver exceptional products and services;
* Prepare, cook and present meals in line with venue standards for the restaurant and functions;
* Maintain quality control, including tasting and examining food for outgoing meals and incoming produce according to specification;
* Develop and implement strategies for performance management, training and mentoring the kitchen team;
* Roster and allocate tasks to the kitchen team effectively;
* Plan menus and order stock accordingly;
* Minimize wastage and maintain cost control measures in place;
* Manage resources to achieve budget targets and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation;
* Enforce correct food handling and storage procedures;
* Ensure all relevant workplace safety standards are met at all times.
