Job Description
As a Teacher - Travel and Tourism, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative training using a variety of teaching and assessment methods to meet the diverse needs of students. You'll also develop high-quality resources, maintain strong industry connections to keep course content relevant, and contribute to departmental initiatives that enhance student outcomes and faculty success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across various locations and delivery modes.
* Create high-quality teaching resources and assessments aligned with industry and course standards.
* Support the full student journey, from course enquiries to assessing and identifying training needs for Certificate III and Certificate IV in Tourism programs.
* Build and maintain strong industry partnerships to inform and enrich course delivery.
* Engage in professional development and compliance, contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications;
* An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
* Experience in vocational and/or higher education teaching, with a focus on course development.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to deliver flexible and innovative education, tailored to diverse learners.
* Recent industry experience with GDS platforms and sound knowledge of fare rules, airfare construction, and ticketing procedures.
* Familiarity with IATA fare structures, codes, and itinerary planning.
