About the Role
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you own the performance and culture of your store. You'll lead a small, energetic team, deliver outstanding customer experiences, hit sales targets, and keep the store running to the highest standards – all while supporting the broader WA Pool Warehouse network when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Full accountability for recruiting, rostering, onboarding, training, and developing casual team members
Conduct regular 1 : 1s, weekly feedback sessions, and formal performance reviews
Champion the WA Pool Warehouse Guiding Behaviours and Code of Conduct
Run ongoing training on product knowledge, water testing, chemical safety, and customer service
Support other stores with training, cover, or peak‑season assistance as required
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing team culture
Customer Experience & Sales
Deliver (and ensure your team delivers) world‑class, memorable service every single time
Personally handle phone, email, and online enquiries promptly and professionally
Drive sales growth both in‑store and online to meet and exceed budgets
Provide expert water testing and pool chemistry advice
Actively upsell, cross‑sell, and build long‑term customer loyalty
Oversee click‑and‑collect, online order fulfilment, and delivery processes
Installation & Service Support (where applicable)
Coordinate smoothly with customers and installation / delivery teams
Jump in to assist on‑site with installations or service jobs when needed
Maintain immaculate store presentation, cleanliness, and safety standards
Manage stock rotation, pricing accuracy, promotional signage, and regular stocktakes
Keep the store fully stocked and merchandised to company standards
Safety, Compliance & Administration
Complete daily / weekly OHS checks, chemical safety compliance, and incident reporting
Handle daily banking, EOD reconciliations, payroll, leave, and all required reporting
Use company systems confidently (POS, stock software, rostering / payroll platforms)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Store audit = 85% | Mystery shopper "exceeds" rating | Sales budgets met / exceeded
100% OHS & chemical safety compliance | Zero preventable incidents or stock loss
High customer return rates and glowing Google / Facebook reviews
Positive team culture with low staff turnover
About You – Essential
Minimum 2–3 years proven retail management or supervisory experience
Strong leadership skills and experience managing casual teams / rosters
Outstanding communication, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities
Physically capable of regular heavy lifting

Intermediate computer skills and quick to learn new systems
Full availability for weekends and public holidays (especially spring / summer peak)
Flexibility to travel and work across multiple WA locations when required
Current WA driver's licence + reliable vehicle
Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Highly Regarded
Swimming pool / spa retail or industry experience
Pool water chemistry knowledge or pool technician background
Experience with Retail Express or similar POS systems
